Postcard - St Lawrence's Church, North Wingfield. Sent 1908.

Extract from a poem about the 12 Ringers of Bells at North Wingfield church for the year 1688. (DAJ.1896.vol 18).

etc, etc - The next is William Mottershaw who can the first bell troule,

So can my little Tommy Clay that pretty loving soul.

John Brelsford often rings behind,he will pull far apart,

Besides theres honest Edward Clay will make his bell to start.

(Probably Thomas Clay age 12 son of Isaac baptised 1676, and Edward Clay who was having children baptised from late 1600s ).
