Elizabeth Clay of Staveley charged Sarah Turner of the same with assault, they had been quarreling about some family affairs, Turner went upstairs and threw a quantity of boiling water upon her out of the window. A witness was produced who swore that Clay (A very old woman) had blisters on her shoulders from the effects of the hot water.- Mrs Turner was fined 9 shillings.

Live farming stock, farming implements, pony carriage and harness,horses, ponies, ewes, hogs, pigs, calves, wagons, carts, corn, haystacks, brewing and dairy utensils etc.
